And I tried to get a nice MACRO shot but it's not quite as clear as I initially thought.

That makes 6 baby White Lines so far this year!! Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much demand for these cute little buggers. :scratchhead:

Congratulations Dave! I've seen those geckos also referred to as Skunk Geckos in books. Do you know if that is another common name for them or is that another type of gecko because they look exactly the same. Congrats again!

Thanks guys!! Yup ... they're also referred to as Skunk Geckos!! They usually lay eggs in pairs. So the second one of this pair will likely hatch within the next couple of days! ;-)

White Lined geckos are another great under rated pet. It is too bad really, I like them.

Absolutely!! The parents are a little freaky and skittish but the babies aren't too bad at all. They seem to get used to being handled occasionally which only increases their value as a pet reptile IMO.

Congrats and happy "mother's" day! lol. I can't wait for mine to hatch! About how long has yours taken to hatch, approximately?

Another thing, I've read they only live like 2-3 years and another book said 1-2. Is that true??????? That's a pretty short life for a gecko :?

Thanks everybody. :D They take anywhere from 2 or 3 months to hatch from my experience. I'm sure that temps and humidity are factors.

The female has eaten a couple of the eggs which I've heard is a sign that they're no good. However I have one egg that's been in there for quite some time and she hasn't touched it. There's also another egg that candles yellow and I'm fairly certain that it's not fertile but she hasn't touched that one either.

To my knowledge I have at least 2 ... perhaps 3 eggs left that are still good.

Well I just did a search with google and found various answers. This is what it said on Wikipedia ..... 'The lifespan of the average White-Line Gecko is usually 3-4 years. However, if properly taken care of, they can live 6-10 years, perhaps longer.'

I found another site that said 7-10 years and another that said 10-20 years. The babies that first hatched for me are a little over 4 months old and they're only 1/5 - 1/4 the size of the parents. They don't seem to grow as fast as cresties.

Unfortunately I have no idea how old the adult pair that I have are. I've had them for about 8 months and the female came with eggs ready to stick to the glass! :)

Hey! lol you're in London Ontario!!! You attend the reptile shows don't you!?!?!?! I think i might actually be willing to give these Skunk Geckos a shot sometime in the near future! Maybe I can talk to you about it seeing that you are fairly close?:p

I'm at most of the shows and I will be at the June one for sure helping one of my buddies out.

The only show that I've been to is the Feb. show that just passed. I'm not sure if I'll be at the next one or not. It's 2 hrs. away and I don't drive. So unless I can find somebody else from my area that's going I likely won't be there.

However if you're ever coming to London let me know. I currently have White Lines and Cresteds for sale and am working on Gold Dust Day Gecko's and Fire Skinks as well.

Alright well, no big deal. Those white lines are pretty cool but I think I would be most interested in those Velvet Banded Geckos  lol get those going good. I'm working with P.Pictus, Tokays, Bearded Dragons, Blue Tongue Skinks, Giant Day Geckos, Banded Cave Geckos, and thats probably about it.....for now  lol but yeah we will be in touch.

Oh Yeah .... I forgot about the Banded Velvets. The females look chubby but I haven't found any eggs or babies yet. Of course I don't go sifting through their enclosure very often either.

I'd like to get some Giant Day Geckos sometime. Maybe we can work out some sort of trade at some point.
