My newest additions....

These boy's are suposedly 4-5 yrs. The family who had them is moving and couldn't take them along.

Some people make me SICK!!

I took a stool sample in today, no parasites. Thank God for the little things.

I guess the thread should have been called "my newest rescues" LOL The guy who had them was feeding "a few crickets a couple times a week"..... They are both eating, had a small bug yesterday morning and a couple large mealworms and a wax worm last night, then another couple bugs this morning. I'll keep feeding smaller meals twice a day till they gain enough weight, then cut them back.

The lighter male (sorry, I don't know the morphs) enclosure was absolutely flithy!! The smell alone about knocked me over. Feces everywhere, and there were 2 very small crickets in with him. He had NO heat source, nothing. ARGHHHHH
The darker males, enclosure was slightly cleaner and he had only a small heat pad on the back side of the tank. Sigh, when I first saw him the poor guy was pressed up to the heat pad.

I'll post pictures in a month, after they've been warm for awhile and got some more groceries in them.

The lighter looks like a Super Hypo - are the eyes grey and black or ?

The darker looks like a hypo to me.

Their color will pick up BIG TIME as their health improves, you just wait and see :)

Wow, argh it makes me sooo angry that people still get away with this! Really glad you've rescued these little guys! Any names yet?

So they've been here a week today. Both have drastic color changes :) Love em.

Here's Jimmy.

He's put on quite a bit of weight :) Willie the darker of the two has put on some weight but not nearly as much as Jimmy. I'll try to get a few of him tommorrow

So I had tot ake Jimmy in yesterday, he had a prolaped penis. He's looking normal back there again.

I snapped a few of Willie as well as both boy's enclosures. They both have cool personalities :) Willie isn't as friendly tho, he bites and scream when you try to handle him. But we will work on that, no rush

Awsome. When I got my girl she had no tail fat really, but she was a baby. Now she has tail fat :).

Looks like you are doing awesome with those two. Good luck and poor bugger with his penis all stuck of lol.

Well considering we have no idea how old these guy's really are, they shouldn't have been so darn skinny. They've been here a week and have really put on some weight, just being FED.

The vet had to remove part of his penis and tuck it all back in. Makes me glad I work for the local herp vet or I couldn't afford to take these guy's in and care for them till they can be found suitable homes. :)

WOW you are doing a AWESOME JOB!
And i had a question ,if that is a heat pad on the back of the tank?
if it is is that where they put it or is there a reason why?

Hey Todd,Yes that is a heat pad on the back of the tank. That is how it was when I got the guy, it was his only heat source and even if it had been under the tank it is now where near big enough for the tank. There is now a heat pad under the tank on the same side. Thanks, I'm pretty tickled with the progress these two boy's are making. It's gratifying to take such under nourished little ones and make them healthy :)

LOL it's ok Allee :) I don't like that I can still see thier spine, but I guess we will get there.

Melon, it usually torks me off when people get pets and don't take the time to learn "basic" care. I used to work at a local petstore, and I recall one lady who came in looking for a new lizard because hers was sick (had no idea what was wrong with it) Wanted me a diagnose her sick lizard because "he only cost 5 bucks" and was wasn't about to take a 5 dollar lizard to the vet grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I take any of mine to my vet! I dont care if they are worth 800$ or a 1.50$ because its a pet, and should be treated like a pet and not like a throwaway!

Wow they are looking so much better! And in only a week!!! It truly is crazy that people have such a throw-away attitude towards "cheap" pets. They are still living craetures and deserve better than that!!!
I also agree with Anne on the morphs, jimmy is a super hypo tang and Willie a hypo tang. They are very lucky you came along when you did! Kudos to you!
