Non-nocturnal leo? Quite the stunt devil too!

My leo is very strange. Although currently proving me otherwise, he is often seen outside his house during the day. All day yesterday he just sat beside his hut. He's relatively new, I got him August 7th, and he's around 6 1/2 inches. He's been known to jump off his hut after crickets, put his feet on his house and his others on the glass, his belly slightly curved, dig, and dive after prey from an inch away! He's strange that way. He's on repti sand, a non-calcium based, very fine grade sand, in desert white. The bag says it's all natural with no chemicals, and there's nothing about eating it, so I think it's safer than calci sand. Any ideas to his diarurnalism and crazy activity? He's around 2-3 months.

I have one completely diurnal leo. And one who's nocturnal, but known to be active during the day in 1-hour spurts. She runs and jumps from across the tank at crickets, the nocturnal one. She's quite the spaz. She'll jump off the hammock and land on top of a cactus about 15 inches away, then climb to the ground. It's like, there's no point in jumping if you're just going to the ground? But she's weird. I guess she likes a thrill. So I wouldn't worry about your leo.
