Feeding options?

I was staring at my container full of meal worms that my little guy has shown zero interest in, and it got me thinking. Has anybody feed the beetle that these worms turn into to there fat tails? I here people say that they feed roaches, why not beetles? Several online writeup explain the process of raising meal worms. Part of that is that they change in to beetles, lay new eggs, then eventually die. But what if you gut loaded them and feed them to the geckos? am I missing something, I haven't really read about anyone doing this, and I am not particularly smart so I cant be the first to think of this.

I think the beetles have a fair amount of chitin compared to the mealworms (hard shell) so may be harder to digest. Other than that, you can try and see if they'll eat them.

DO NOT FEED the beetles they are very hard for the digestion of the geckos and also the have very low very very low NUTRITIVE value i have colony with tenebrio molitors and i now please believe me, also please take out ALL the mealworms that you release into the tank with the gecko because they are very very dangerous for the gecko they almost can eat the gecko they are very aggressively.Α rule for the mealworms when you feed your gecko is this you put the mealworms into a Tupperware or something else that the mealworms cannot escape from this and put something from outside side by side on the tapperware like a bridge for example a rock to help your gecko to find the mealworms and then the gecko will use the bridge to eat from the tapperware as many as it wants and then it will go away from the mealworms

See, I knew there was a reason why this wasn't a common practice. I have four in there with him, but they are in a container that they cant get out of. I am hoping he suddenly changes his mind. I check on them everyday to make sure they have not escaped or died. I want to give him a little variety, but he doesnt seem to be interested in the mealies. What kind of roaches do you guys feed them, or anything else?

Sorry, but I disagree.

From my perspective, beatles of Tenebrio molitor are much better than their larvae. Not only do they contain less fat than the larvae, they also have a much better ratio of Calcium to Phosphor.
Frankly speaking, I can't imagine that they are harder to digest than Blaptica dubia, but that's just a feeling, so I might be wrong.

I feed them to a number of my geckos on a regular basis, especially to the ones that eat beatles in the wild.

Some species don't accept them, but that doesn't make them a bad food.

Regards,
Chris
