20L tank critter..?

Anyone think of any somewhat low maintenance reptile that would be comfortable living in a 20L tank? At least for about a year before it would need a big upgrade? Just want some ideas to research- so please don't think I'll run out and randomly buy at the next show.

That tank could house a nice little pacman frog for a while. Eventually you'd probably have to upgrade to a ten or twenty gallon, but they are quite non-motile and are quite content in small tanks for a while. I had one for a while. They are really fun and, lets face it, a frog that can eat mice is pretty cool.

I'm still new to geckos, but maybe viper geckos? I always wanted some of them, they're so nice looking IMO.

And, that is if you wanted to filter the tank for an aquatic species, you could do small fish (very small, i find it hard to keep fish in smaller tanks), dwarf clawed frogs, firebellied toads, firebellied newts, etc. I've gotten out of all but the hardiest of aquatic- too much upkeep for me. Not to mention expense, ride in humidity, etc. I've always had a soft spot for fiddler crabs, also. I had a few while back, and they were really fun to keep.

And still yet, you could probably house a small serpent, such as a corn snake or a milk snake, for some time in there. I've always loved tho looks of the pueblan milk snakes as well as all the color varieties of the corn snakes and even king snakes. Other than that, there is not much else you could really keep in there. I have a five gallon, and at the moment I use it for small crested geckos until they grow as well as a feeding tank for my Pixie Frog. I find ten gallons is a much easier size to work with.

Sorry if there was confusion, but its a 20L.. like a 20 gallon long tank.. I'll keep researching though and thank you for your ideas!

OH CRAP! Sorry about that....that makes sense now. Anyway, For a twenty long there are numerous possibilities. Umm, Bearded dragons can start in a twenty long, but they eventually need bigger. I have a African Pixie Frog in my twenty long at the moment, shes a really sweet frog. You could probably put some snake in there....I'm not too into them, but you could. In the terms of geckos, I can't help because I'm not exactly experienced. However, you could try a community fish tank, a small one that is, or maybe a living vivarium. You could start some turtle species in that, but they would need bigger eventually. I love my turtles, they're by far my most favorite reptiles to keep, no matter the species. I also love my bearded dragon, so that something to look into.

You could keep a pair of african fat tailed geckos in a 20long, leopord geckos, day geckos, if you stand it on its side you could keep crested geckos. There are alot of options in the gecko world that will be well suited for a 20long.

Forest armadillo lizards could live in there (well, at least one could).

I have one and he's pretty low maintenance.
