aff. ebenaui and henkeli

Here are some pictures of two of our Uroplatus.

First up is a 7 months old U. aff. ebenaui male. He is growing into a very nice looking gecko.

Second one is our U. henkeli female, she has got a strange patterns for a female we think, but shows no bulge, we bought her as possible female.

Your henkeli has a male's typical background color and markings...
Yours still look subadult, bulges can appear quite late in their growth. How old is "she"?

Your aff. ebenaui looks male to me but I wouldn't say it's for sure, I have never kept this species.

Thanks for the pictures! The "female" is now 7 months old. At that time our henkeli male showed quite the bulge. We have a s. sikorae which showed a pretty huge bulge at 4 months old, so we really hoped for this henkeli to be female since she is not showing any sign of one...
We will wait till it's older and then see if it's a male, if so we will contact the breeder and hope to get a female from him.

Very nice U. aff. ebenaui !
My henkeli male has show hemipenial bulges when he was 9 months old and I've seen it appear in a few days, so keep finger crossed !;-)

We still hope it's female, but we think we have bad luck again...
She is about 17 cm long at the moment...

Could you make a pictures of the back of your henkeli female? Just like the second one of ours? We like to compare their pattern to the pattern ours got..

Seeing your male aff. ebenaui now, he does look like a male
I am sure that yours are different bloodlines to mine as all of my hatchlings and adults look completely different from yours.

Thanks for the picture Graham. I think ours looks a lot like yours. But maybe that's just wishful thinking.
Good to know you have a different line of U. aff. ebenaui, maybe we could trade a female hatchling in the future...
