Here are some pictures of our U. s. sikorae.

This is Kurt, our male. He has some scars around his mouth, due to an accident.
We found him choking on a leave a few weeks ago and luckily could save his life.

This is Tania, hopefully female and "she" will be paired up with Kurt when they are full grown.

Those are some realy nice sikorae! I bet they will make some nice lookin white babies for you too.

He was actually choking that badly on the leaf? I have seen my sikorae get leaves in theyr mouth on several occasions, happends every now and then when they catch theyr prey, but they always manage to pull them out by them self...

Good luck with them!

Thanks! We still hope the female is indeed female, we chose that one cause she looked different than the male we already had, so hoping that this is the pattern for a female sikorae.

We had planted his viv with bamboo branches with leaves. He accidentally swallowed a leave, which are very long.
I found him on the floor of the viv, rolling around on the bottom banging his head/nose into the background of the viv, mouth wide open making noise... i saw only a small part of the leaf sticking out of his mouth. So i think he was choking, he looked like he was fighting for his life... I grabbed him and pulled the leaf out of his throat. He was breathing very hard when i had it removed and he really needed a few days to get well, and it had been a few weeks ago now, and he still isn't really how he used to be.
But we think he will be alright. The scarring on his nose will heal in time.
