Questions about Markings

So I was showing Fry to a friend of mine who use to breed geckos a few years ago the other day.

He commented on him saying that I had myself a Mack Stripe, not the Mack Aberrant the breeder told my sister (and what from I been learning about markings).

So now I'm royally confused since Fry is my first actual morph and I thought I had him figured out and am wondering what you guys think about him. I've looked at other stripes but he looks nothing like them, or jungles.

But Fry does have a thin stripe going down his back, along with a couple of spots that I've dubbed his 'piece of eight' that are inside the stripe.

Its also the only part of him that really hasn't yellowed like parts of him have turned.

Another thing is that first band as well. Its almost half his length long and cleanly cut through by the 'stripe'.

This is the only pic of Fry I have right now (and only one with his normal tail). I'll get some more tomorrow when I'm cleaning out the viv with Fry later today.

So minor Stripe,Aberrant masked as a Stripe, something else entirely, or are me and my friend just crying Bigfoot?

The difference between and stripe and an aberrant is that the stripe has a broken neck band and a non-banded tail (or at least had that when it hatched). Yours would be considered aberrant since as far as I can tell, the tail appears to be banded. Geckos' patterns sometimes seem to be matching from one side of the back to the other and all of them, if you look carefully, seem to have some kind of line going down the back at midline. Some have an even wider line and it's called a "dorsal stripe" though the gecko can have it and not be a stripe. Here are some pictures of some of mine (who also happen to be stripes) born a few months ago with very prominent white dorsal stripes. The first picture is of clutchmates a day or so after hatching and the next picture is of one of them a month later:

It may be that if you breed together 2 geckos with a prominent dorsal stripe you'll get some offspring with an even more dramatic one. You'd call that "line breeding". It could be a nice project/experiment.
