History of “High-Red Svatek line”

In 1995 I start to breed in several groups red Rhacodactylus auriculatus. The animals originate from Mr. Henkel, Schröder, Zobel and from a dutch man. These included red striped and red blotched Rhacodactylus auriculatus. The breeding results are well on the way, but I´m not satisfied enough. I want more!!! More red and more contrast. I make several cross-breeding with white males, but the hatchlings are going more orange than in red. So I decide to breed them with dark-brown to red-brown males. The output was fantastic – first the hatchlings seem not colourful enough, but it changed after some time until adult size. The colour red become more and more dark and brilliancy. Some animals now complete red. In the following years I breed only with animals with highest rate on red – so begin “High-Red Svatek line”

Very nice work. its good to see some of the old timers still around who made this hobby possible for people. I still have yet to see a gargoyle in the us with colors like those individuals.

@to all,
thank you very much for your kind words. In the next years I will bring forward the "Papillon-Project". Maybe I can domesticate this colour-morph.

Very nice o.o I'm jealous! I'm hoping to get some color like that here in the states. I'm about 3 and 5 generations into the project/s and its coming along. I think, in some fashions, I'm hindering myself. All my stock is unrelated pairs. My fingers are crossed for some luck this season. :) Keep the inspirational photos coming! :)
