recently i started seeing peices of vermiculite in my leos stool. i keep vermiculite as the medium of my moist hide, but now im worried it could impact my leo if she keeps eating it. i was wondering if there was something else i could use besides paper towels and vermiculite/perlite? i was thinking maybe coconut fiber (the kind that comes in a brick that breaks up in water) would work. its just cellulose so it shouldnt cause impaction, right? any ideas?

Coconut fiber can be used for a humid hide, but can cause impaction issues as well. I think a more important question to ask yourself is why your leo is eating vermiculite. Perlite, moss, cypress mulch, peat, etc can all be used. But again, they're all ingestible and you could end up with the same results.
