I have a 20 gal long tank right now ,and 2 females. I put 1 female in a different tank and put my boy in with 1 girl.Would it be too crowded to put the 2nd girl back in with the boy and girl in the 20 gal long tank?

that wood be crowded just think 10 gal per gecko is comfortable its also good to have extra room too so they can avoid each other if they want

It is acceptable to put 3 geckos in a 20 gallon tank - but yes it may seem a bit cramped.
If you really want to do this, try and get a few multi-level hides (available at petco.com and probably at either petco or petsmart stores). Also take a look online for how to make your tank "split-leveled". there are aome very cool and safe ideas for this, and it give MUCH MORE space for your geckos!

I do have foam hides on each end that are multilevel. above that i have magnatural ledges so in most of the cage its bi level and some parts 3 level. how many square inches of ground space are some of these rack systems?

I myself do not own any of the multi-level hides, my two geckos are housed seperatly at this time, but if we decide to house them together then multi-level hides are one of the first purchases Id make! Ive seen wonderful reviews on them and geckos seem to enjoy climbing through them. (thats what you mean by "rack systems" im guessing?).
I saw one in my local petco recently and it looked to be about 8-10 inches long by 4-6 inches wide on the bottom. It was designed to sit right up against the glass wall of the tank so you could watch the geckos inside.
However Im sure there are several different styles to choose from online (im sure a few different retailers carry them).
But since you already have your tank bi and tri leveled I dont think there would be any problem letting all the geckos share it. Just stay alert in case any become territoral - that would probably be the only issue with housing multipule geckos together.

I agree with M&S... if you provide enough "levels" they could be fine... it is usual to sat that 10 gallons per gecko is enough, but I have always thaught that since leos don't have adhesive lamellae, they don't need so much room, meaning, a 10 gallon tank can be more flat, having more space for the gecko, or more high, having less space for the gecko.... if your 20 gallon is not so tall, or you can provide more space dividing it into levels in my personal opinion 3 geckos could do fine, of course, the more space the better, but they can make it there

Here's my gecko "upstairs". This one has ceramic "legs" that I made, but in subsequent ones I used dowels. The upstairs "floor" is 2 12"x12" tiles with a zoo-med mini 1-5 gallon heater sandwiched between them.
