Unusual egg "behaviour" a little feedback please! experienced breeders please read

Hi to all

First of all thanks for Reading and all replies will be highly appreciated!
I am breeding one of my females this year, and she has laid 16 eggs so far, and 3 of them have hatched already, the thing is, one egg (from the first clutch) has not hatched already, let me explain better:

First clutch: February 16th - One egg died and I cracked it open on may 5th, there was a little pink gecko inside, not ready to hatch yet, the other egg looks good and is STILL in the incubator! 96 days today!!! :scratchhead:
Second clutch: March 1st - Both eggs dried out in a week I was out of town
Third clutch: March 16th-One egg infertile, the other egg hatched may 04th (49 days of incubation)
Fourth clutch: March 29th - Both eggs hatched, may 15th -16th (47 days of incubation)
Fifth clutch: April 8th -Both eggs look good, in the incubator
Sixth clutch: April 24th - Both eggs look good, in the incubator
Seventh clutch: May 6th - Both eggs look infertile (they are very very small)
Eighth clutch: May 19th - Both eggs look infertile (they are very small and very soft)

The unusual thing here is the first clutch!! It has been in the incubator for 96 days, the egg looks good!, it’s “clutchmate” died and I cracked it open and there was a little gecko inside, which means they are fertile! But he doesn’t hatch! And the third and fourth clutches both have hatched ok! Anyone has had a similar case before???

Should I just toss it even if it looks perfect??

:feedback:

I've had infertile eggs stay in the incubator for around 90 days before I tossed it out. Never molded. Never dented. I'd leave the egg and wait it out. If it molds, toss it. Have you candled it? Bright and pink it's fertile. Yellow it's infertile. Cloudy and it's dead.

This egg looks EXACTLY like it's clutchmate! they are a bit larger than the other eggs... its mate was fertile and died... dented and I cracked it open and there was a little pink gecko inside.... it was indeed fertile, I haven't candled it.... don't have the white light bulb to do so :S

One egg in a clutch can be fertile and the other not. Because the other is fertile has nothing to do if this one is fertile or not. You'll have to candle it either way to know for sure if it's fertile, so until you do that, there's nothing anyone can really say on this topic other than sit and wait. I'm not for pipping eggs, so I'd never suggest that.
