HI ALL! SOOO EXCITED. I just bought a new leopard gecko... according to the seller its morph is HOT SHTCT. and its about a year old... :yahoo:

I DIDNT KNOW LEO GECKOS COULD GROW SO HUGE!

Ok the thing is this... when i carried her there is this weird feeling near the sides of her body... kinda "hard" which i have never felt before with my other leo. she weighs about 64.3 grams. is that how a gravid female feels like?

ok i was worried the "hard feeling" might be substrate ingestion but i turned her over and felt her belly , it was soft and normal. on second thought i think its just an adult...or maybe shes obese... but i was told that the last time she mated was about a month or so ago.

Females will store sperm, so if she was mated a month ago, it's likely she will have eggs sooner or later. Best read up about it now so you are prepared for it.

She does look very big, I dont have that much experience with geckos but she looks like my SHTCT did before she laid her first clutch of eggs. Either that or shes just really fat!

Pull her back legs so they go up to her tail, and lift her, gently bending her back so any eggs will be pushed to her belly. If you see two white or pink circles, she's gravid.

Shes pretty! Give her a warm soak to try and get that skin stuck on her toes off. But yeah its too hard to tell in that pic if she is gravid.

Hun, they look infertile to me :( they shouldn't be deflated and yellowish, leave them in the incubator for a couple of days and keep a close eye on them
