Hi bouncer36 ~

Welcome to Geckos Unlimited! Good to have you on board.

My question about your large tank with your two leopard geckos: Are you able to maintain the floor temperatures from the 70s on the cool side to 92-95 F on the warm side? If so, go for it! Is your tank longer rather than tall like a breeder tank? Extra space is usually welcome.

How is your tank temperature coming along? If you are not in the 90-95 F range I definitely would recommend adding the undertank heater 1/3 the length of your tank.

well it coming along my temp in my tank got up to 96 yesterday is that too much

Is that 96 for the whole tank on the floor? Or just the warm end?

What is the cool end?

If the temperatures are getting too high, you could get a thermostat or plug the light into a simple Lutron dimmer to tweak things further. You can get those dimmers at Lowe's.

Yeah, I would strive for 94 F on the hot side just to be safe. Time to acitivate your dimmer :).

Have you got the lights/heat on a timer? I have my timer set to turn off about 11 PM and on about 9 AM.
