Hello,
I was wondering if breeding mealworms and/or crickets is worth it for one baby leo. I have researched how to and I have acess to all of the supplies, but will I save a lot of money doing it. I also realize that he is a baby that will be eating for the rest of his life.

Not only is it much cheaper in the long run, it saves a ton of time and makes feeding consistently a lot easier. There's plenty of instructions on how to do it in our "feeders, food, and nutrition" sub-forum. It's quite easy. You also might want to consider tropical roaches as they are very easy to breed and highly nutritious. Certainly much better than mealworms.

I have a dubia colony and mealworm colony I feed my one gecko from. Soon, there will be too many of both for her, but I'm going to keep all the extras till winter and sell them locally when the petstores can't always get their crickets. It's worth it to me to not have to buy them all the time.

Definitely!! I have a mealies colony and a roaches colony, I was never able to breed crickets, but I would do it if I could, much easier to feed your own insects instead of having to buy all the time and actually doesn't take much time to do it! Highly recommended!!
