Given the amount of color change I would guess (and it's only a guess) about 4-6 weeks old.

He'll definitely look different than he does right now. The bands of purple and black will turn into lots of little spots. When I got my guy he was really little and looked alot like yours does. But now that he's all grown up he has no more purple at all and all the big chunks of color separated into little spots.

I've been loving watching new spots appearing every week on my little baby's I just wish my little Tear could keep her colouring and black bands I love the litle teardrop shapes although everyone else says they look more like jigsaw pieces. Tear is on the right, Juno will prob turn nearly black like my other hatchlings. They are all getting darker and darker their spots must be really dense.

Monty is really cute

Yup your leo is somewhere between 5 weeks and 2 months. Because they grow at such different rates it never can be accurate unless you get its hatch date.
Its funny you are already calling it a "he". lol. Thats what I thought with my first one and it turned out to be female! Theres absolutely no way to tell with babies what sex they will be. Some may be incubated at temps for males/females, but that isnt a 100% sure-fire way. But around 5-8 months youll be able to find that one out. lol.
Did the place you got it from tell you what morph it is?

Funny^ When I got my little man when he was a litttle one we thought it was a guy and then when we looked later we thought it was a girl. But when I double checked later he was def a "he". Funny how it was too early the first time. We had been calling him a her for like 6 months!

haha, Yeh, i don't know what sex Monty is yet, but i think i'll probs just keep calling him 'he', until i can tell anyway. Most pets i've had were male, so its habit :p.
They didn't say what morph he was, but I am thinking maybe Jungle, because he is so bold and random. I got him at a pet store, they didn't even know the hatch date. there's no local breeders where I'm living :( i looked. Im very happy with him tho, he comes out once in a while, but gets nervous when he sees me. but hes not afraid once i get him in my hand... im hoping with some patience he'll get a little more comfortable with me.

Just take it slow with handling. Its recommended that you wait till the leo is 5-6 inches (or about 3 months old) before handling it often. This way it is beginning to slowly become more docile, and has had plenty of time to get used to your scent and reduce its fear to your presence.
If there is no local breeder then where did the pet shop get the gecko from? Many breeders do sell directly to pet shop. Unfortunately they often sell them too young because the pet shop wont offer them much money for it, and theres actually not a HUGE market for leopard geckos. - Well, there is and isnt at the same time. Thats why you hear of so many people doing rescues for leos. Cause people will buy them just because they arnt overly expensive and are really pretty, but then they get bored or "too busy" and re-sell them to pet shops or bring them to shelters. Thus, many breeders have a hard time finding A. good owners, or B. anyone to buy direct due to all the pet shops that sell them in mass dirt cheap.
So ya, thats just a little rant..lol. But really Im just saying that there probably is a fairly local breeder, he or she just doesnt really publicize themself because they mainly only sell to petshops. unfortunately.
