Leopard geckos: What morph?

Can someone tell me what morphs these are? I bought them as a breeding pair. My first set of geckos, and I'm not sure what morph they are. I thought that they were just normal leopard geckos but now I know they aren't just plain "normal". But what kind are they?

Hello! Okay so I'm going to be completely honest here in the fact that I have never tried to figure out the morph of a leopard gecko before. But I've become quite a fan of them since joining the forum and have been learning a lot, so I figured since nobody has commented I can at least give it a shot. Worst case scenario I'm wrong and I learn something else. :)

So don't take my word 100%, wait for someone more experienced to comment. But I'm going to say you have a Bell Albino and a Super-Hypo Tangerine Carrot-Tail?

I hope someone else comments lol. :)

Left looks normal, but eye shot could confirm otherwise.

Right is hypo or super hypo tangerine.

Left looks to be bell albino. Right is a Super hypo, not enough ornage on the tail to be a carrottail.

i agree with the carrot tail part hence the /. some breeders might or might not call it a carrot tail :)

The smaller one is an albino of sorts. Many people are saying "Bell" albino, so it seems a safe bet to believe that accessment.
The larger one is a super hypo. But definitely not a carrot tail. The tail would have to have a much brighter, obviously contrasting orange color at the beginning. Yours simply stays that same yellow'ish color. But there is nothing wrong with not having a carrot tail! haha

Also, Id just like to add... These cannot be breeding yet! the smaller one is TOO small. At this point it might even be a bit dangerous to house them together because if they try to mate they could cause eachother some pretty bad damage. Are you sure that they are both male and female? or did you buy them recently and thats what they were sold as?

I bought them as a breeding pair. The smaller one is a female and the bigger one is the male. I compared them to pics online. Also when I bought them, the vendor said they were a proven pair. They actually bred and layed eggs once since I've had them. I have the eggs incubating now. They seem to do fine with each other. Are u says she is too small as in weight or just age/size looking? How old does a leo need to be to breed? I also don't know the actual age of these 2. Could they get bigger or is this about the size they will stay? Here are a few better pics, I tried to get one of the females eyes b/c someone said it might make a difference between albino and bell albino. thanks for all the input, i really appreciate it.

Get a gram scale, you can tell whether they are fit to breed by how much they weight. They have fat in their tails, so they seem healthy. And if they had just gone through a breeding season laying eggs, then it'd probably be why the female is skinnier.

Safe breeding weight is 45g+, of course more the better as you expect them to lose weight while gravid.

I actually believe that albino to be Tremper, upon seeing the eyes. Bells and Trempers have different eyes. I don't have pictures personally, but I'm sure those can be found on this forum or internet with a little bit of searching.

Good luck incubating your eggs.

Im concerned about them breeding for two reasons.

1. Females (especially) should never breed before they are full grown. It should be at least one year old before its introduced to the breeding world, because breeding can cause a lot of stress and strain on her body - so if shes not big enough she could have a ton of complications and even a much shorter life span.

2. Her tail does not look fat enough to be breeding. Its very important that your female has a nice, big, fat tail before you breed her because a lot of her energy and stored fat will go towards making/caring for her eggs while she is gravid. Her tail isnt bad "as is" for everyday gecko life, but for breeding purposes she should have more weight on it.

In the first pictures you posted I can immediately say she is way too small to be full grown, and her tail is way too skinny to be breeding. I dont mean to be rude or offensive to you - but I really want to caution you.

I hope the eggs you have incubating are doing well and are very healthy. And I hope the best for you and your leos.

Both look like adults, but the male looks like he has some giant gene to me, that's why the female look smaller, she is a tremper albino (brownish color) and he is a super hypo tangerine (not enough solid orange to be carrot tail), I Have one concern... the female's tail looks a bit thin, and if she is breeding she needs to be as healthy as possible, please feed her everyday with calcium dusted prey so she can have enough calcium in her system to produce healthy eggs

I'm concerned about your female being too skinny too but I also wanted to add that on your second group of photos you have them on some sort of wood-chip looking stuff. I would recommend getting rid of that stuff. If you feed them there they could ingest it and really hurt your geckos. I did see carpet in another so that's good, but those wood chips could be lethal to a gecko. I hope that you just got them on that stuff and aren't keeping/feeding them on it.
PS- I used to have that same fake-rock hut thing in my leo's old cage. I used to call it pride rock because my boy would sit up on it and look like the king of his castle! But it broke when we were putting him in his new cage. Just in time!
