thanks. as far as feeding goes i've seen a lot of different suggestions. i was wondering if it would be okay to feed some form of mrp as the majority of the main diet (around 75/25 or 70/30) with small crickets, fruit flies, springtails, isopods or phoenix worms a few times each week or if the ratio should feature insects more? i'm hoping to find something that would be good with that size tank, but not need live feeders more than a few times a week. i'm planning on a planted tank with bioactive substrate so isopods and springtails would be in the tank constantly as cleaners and occasional snacks.
They only need to be fed 2-3 times a week. Me, I feed my adults 3 times a week.
On Monday they get - Fruitflies, Bean Beetles, Curly Winged Flies or Pea Aphids
Wednesday is Repashy MRP day
Friday they get - Crickets, Field Sweepings or Firebrats
Juvies (up until 3 months) I feed every other day, as I find they do better with several small meals. The same should be done with any females for the first few months if you purchase a wild caught animal.
Woodlice and springs tails are kept in enclosures at all times.
The more varied their diet, the better in all honesty.
