I'm trying to do everything for him now, but I have him almost 2 years and he always have a lot of crickets at his terrarium and as I said before I wasn't patient with taming him and he vas so stressed that he pooped in my hand. I stress isn't too important factor. (Don't understand? Sorry, my english isn't too good)

If hes that uncomfortable that he pooped in your hand...then you shuoldnt be handling him at all. If he hasnt been handled alot then its probably being around humans thats stressing him out. Make sure you follow the advice that you dont put alot of crickets in his tank...maybe 3-4 a day (if he eats that much..if not feed him every other day) and make sure your keeping a shirt/towel over his tank to make him feel more comfortable, and keep his tank clean at all times (and clean water). This should help alot...and see how he does within the next two weeks like this..if he doesnt improve he could be a little sick or maybe its because of his age. didnt you mention hes old?

I also traveled 2400 kilometers with my gecko by car. It had to be stress for him, and when I put him to my travelling terrarium, he wasn't eating about 10 days, because he was stressed. It was first time I was travelling with him, so I didn't covered his terrarium in car, so he could look out the window.

You should always be using heat pad like Flukers. This will reduce stress the most.

I use heat pads...geckos are supossed to have heated tanks. The car ride shuold have put ALOT of stress on this poor gecko..you should have covered his cage in the car. :( How long ago was this trip? if it was awhile ago he shouldnt really be stressed that much still.

It was one year ago, I was travelling with him to Croatia (1200 km and 1200 km back) and here I was 10 days and all 10 days he wasn't eating. When I returned home, I think he was normally eating again. I also was travelling with him short distance 2 times.

Traveling can really stress him out, but that was along time ago if he is stressed now, it it not from the traveling, just follow the advice you were given and monitor him for the next week or so, and if you still think hes not doing okay then take him to a vet...other than that i have no other advice about this.

Why would you take your gecko for trips???? they DON´T enjoy it!!! And even less ¨looking out the window¨ he is not a dog!! Please do him a favor and leave him alone in his tank, offer meals in a dish (cut the cricket´s back legs so they don´t go out of the dish), don´t handle him, provide proper food, calcium, vitamins and heat source, if you don´t understand his needs you are giving him a very poor life quality, he could survive, yes, like he is doing, but he is not having a good time, please take the time to read about geckos and their needs, if you want a travel companion PLEASE go to the closest animal shelter and adopt a dog, you will be doing 2 animals a favor!!

I don't want to do it, but I must. Nobody can keep my geckos for such a long time.
How long are we talking?

I keep hoping that this thread will die. Its really annoying seeing all the things you're doing wrong. Its irritating watching you argue with people when they tell you how to do it right.

Let's keep things calm here. This person obviously doesn't have the greatest grasp on the English language. And google translate doesn't always work so well. So I expect you folks to show some patience and understanding. If the situation was reversed, you would want the same.

Why not leaving him at your house? Quiet in his tank? They can go without food for several days with no problems, and when you tae him on travels you mention he doesn´t eat anyways, so, why not leaving him alone?? It would be MUCH better for him

He didn't ate only the first time. Next time he ate normally. And when I left him, only for 4 days.

Leaving him for four days should be no problem at all. Leo's can go for quite a while without food. If you do leave him just be sure that there is enough water available to him at all times.

They will be fine if you leave them or a few days. In fact it will reduce stress. I think you should not worry about this situation. Feed them before you leave, and then once you get back. Let your geckos settle into their environment rather then taking them on trips. And yes just like the previous poster stated, leopard geckos can go a bit of time without eating.
