Leopard Gecko: What happened?!

So I was holding my little troublemaker, Tiamat not too long ago. She did fine until she decided to take a plunge off my hand and land on my bed (which was a drop of 1 and a quarter feet). She is shaken up but she makes a popping sound now. What do I do? Maybe she's just telling me that she's needing rest? I think she's a little too complex and that I should find her a new home... My other Leo does just fine. Can you guys help me...?

What do you mean "find her a new home"?

Leopard geckos are very simple creatures, the most "complex" thing about them is their sometimes pickiness with food - some will only eat crickets, some will only eat mealworms, some need a varied diet, etc.

As for jumping off of your hand, thats totally normal. That has nothing to do with complexity or strange behavior.
Leopard geckos like to explore, so as soon as you take them out of the tank they will try to run around (if given the opportunity) and jump off of hands, beds, tables, etc. Normally a gecko will not hurt itself when jumping off a surface. Only worry if you see definite signs of damage; if the gecko jumped and fell more then 3 feet; or if it fell onto a very hard surface like pavement or stone. However falling onto a bed or plush carpet probably wont hurt them to much - but of course help them to prevent this as much as possible!

Also, I have heard this "popping noise" from one of my own geckos on occasion too. I am not sure what it means, but I typically let her just be alone and rest in her tank if I hear her make that sound or if she exhibits any other behavior that are "out of the norm".

Hm... I thought she seriously injured herself when she made that noise or that I'm being a poor leo owner, which is why I mentioned I would find her a new home (being someone with more experience take care of her). But, if these are all normal, then I'm beyond happy to keep her!

I have also heard a small "popping" noise from several geckos and a lizard of mine. Usually this noise is accompanied by handling stress.
Some of my herps don't like to be held or moved and sometimes really try to escape while I move them to clean their houses.
What I think the noise is, is like when we say, crack our knuckles or back. It's not something that really hurts us but it's not really good for us either.
This is at least my take on it. They don't seem immobilized after I hear it. I do also try to avoid it by moving them quickly and as stress free as I can.

You just gotta be vigilant when you take them out of their cage. My leos love jumping out of my hand...They're pretty hardy animals though so i wouldn't be to worried unless she starts walking different or dragging legs etc.
