Baby leo lost his tail, should I do something?

My baby leo's tank broke so I put him in with a male and 2 females (adults) just for the night. I had more than enough places for them all to hide. After school today, I went to get him out of the tank and I noticed that part of his tail was gone :'( It was only like half of his tail and I think the newest female might have bitten it off (and possibly eaten it). I put my leo in his new cage and misted it down a little bit. He started barking and squeeling and making all kinds of noises for a good 7 seconds. It looks like there might be some dirt in the wound and it doesn't appear that he wants to eat (he always eats for me). Is there anything I should do for him? Extra vitamins/calcium? Should I clean it with something?

I guess you've learned why it's not a good idea to put a baby with adults. I'm glad they didn't eat him. The baby is not eating right now and was squealing because it's stressed from the cage moves and the trauma of losing the tail. Keep offering food and leave it alone for a few days. I assume the substrate in the new cage is not dirt or sand, which would be bad for it because it's a baby and because of the healing tail. I expect that in a few days it should settle down, start eating and start regenerating its tail.

Please, NEVER put a baby again with adults!! They could have easily eaten him, once one Hemidactylus fell in one of my geckos cage and the gecko ate it no problem!! I was trying to reach for it but the Hemidactylus (house gecko) ran fast directly towards my leo They DO eat smaller geckos, please never do that again.

Regarding the wound, keep it clean, use paper towel as a substrate until it´s healed, it is not necessary to provide nothing extra, just the regular care and food, and leave him alone for a couple of days until he has settled again, he should be fine, only stressed out.

I know not to put babies in with adults, I didn't really want to but for the time being I had no other place to put him

Should this situation arise again in the future, put the baby in a box or large tupperware container. If it's only for a few hours until you get a new tank, that will be fine. This would be much better for the youngster.

Just as kelly said! Even a shoe box would be a better option, he would be fine without heat or water for a few hours or even up to one day I think, anyways, I know you won´t do it again, good that the baby is doing fine now
