Hello GU,

I am Aias from Greece. I am 24 years old and i just love reptiles!!! i am a hobbiest for the past 4 years. I have kept many species but i can say that geckos have stolen my heart!

I now own a gekko gecko trio (1.2) that are 7 months old, a pair of P.kuhli with 4 eggs(they will hatch soon!!!), a pair of blaesodactylus boivini and a pair of leopard geckos!

My other reptiles are a trio of V. acanthurus, a trio of corn snakes, and some "hot" ones :p

I hope that we will be having some good conversations! I have read many many usefull things and you have helped me a lot although you don't know it!

Regards,
Aias

Hello Aias ~

A hearty welcome to Geckos Unlimited! Good to have you as a member of these forums. Definitely sounds as if you've been bitten by the gecko bug!

Hope your Ptychozoon kuhli hatch soon. They are one of my very favorite genuses! Please post some pictures when they DO hatch.

Thank you a lot!

I hope they DO hatch too.... Do you mean that there might be some difficulties? It will be my first breeding attempt ever... So i am e little bit frightened!

They are my favorite ones by this far! I just love them!

Have you found the great Ptychozoon care sheets on GU written by Thorrshamri - Herve Saint Dizier and Palor - Daniel Martindale? http://www.geckosunlimited.com/comm...s-personal-care-sheet-ptychozoon-species.html and http://www.geckosunlimited.com/comm...os-ptychozoon-kuhli-palors-care-breeding.html

Sara, the flyer in my avatar, hatched after 68 days on 25 June 2003. She is 8.5 yo now and has not been bred. She is quite tame and I can handfeed her crickets!!! The avatar shows her laying 2 infertile eggs on the watchband of my friend right in the middle of a reptile show when she was 16 months old. This picture was published in the English edition of Reptilia!!!

I had her in a room with a western exposure, but did not have her egg in an incubator. A WC mom laid the egg, actually 2 eggs. I was out-of-town for awhile and left the second egg in the care of a petsitter. It failed to hatch, and when I opened the egg, the neonate had dried up. Can't recall how well formed it was.

You may want to contact GU's Palor (Daniel Martindale). He lives in Arizona and has has great luck breeding these guys.

Elizabeth,
Now i see what you mean! I have noticed your avatar and i wandered if these were eggs! WOW!

I have read the caresheets! They are great and very usefull. Actually it was after reading them that i decided to give a try with Kuhlis!

Well i have the kuhlis since April 2011. They are about 2,5 years old and cb's from a friend here in Greece! I have seen them mating many times and each night for a very long time! They make those squicking sounds and all! :p :p :p
They have also bred before on my friend's hands! They also enjoy be fed from tongs and are tolerate to handling!

Ι believe and hope that they are fertile! We will know for sure at the end of February!

Thank you for all the information!
