Rheostat vs Thermostat

Which Thermostat

Not sure where to put this question, but here seems as good a place as any. I am looking into a thermostat, actually 3-4 of them and want to get a decent one that won't break the bank. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Right now, I'm thinking about getting these. Thermostat. Anyone use one of these?

hmmm...just based on your thread title, I wanted to outline the difference between a thermostat and a rheostat to be certain you have them straight.

a thermostat controls the temp; a rheostat is essentially a dimmer switch.

Sorry, I couldn't change the title. Maybe a mod can do that for me. My original question was what the difference is. But then I did a google search and found the difference. Thanks though. Now I'm just trying to figure out a good thermostat that won't break the bank. Those cost $25.00 a piece. I have the extra $50.00 right now so I wanted to pick some up. But, I wanted your opinions first.

Those are essentially what I've been using for the last 8 years. I wouldn't run an incubator with it but for cages they are fine and a good price.
