Right now mine is in his moist hide and I cut all the lights off in my room but he won't come out.
Leos are on their own schedules. Can't be forced. Perhaps he "knows" there's a "monster" out there waiting to grab him ;-)
How are you doing for cage highs and lows on the cool side and the warm side? A low wattage red light overhead will help you see him when the lights are out. Have you read my leo caresheet?
OK, so there your leo is, belly side down. Gently scoop all your fingers under his tummy with your thumb going around the other side of his body. Then lift him out of the cage. Be in a safe place so that if he leaps from your hands to the floor he will not be hurt. Do NOT turn him over so that he is on his back. He will feel more threatened that way and probably squirm alot in order to turn himself back to belly side down. Then do your hand-to-hand walk alternately one hand in front of the other.
