Hey everyone,

When I moved to the southwestern United States, I got back into Eublepharids (I used to keep/breed leopard gex when I was a kid). For a few years, I kept various Coleonyx from brevis to v. abbotti, v. bogerti, and v. variegatus. But I didn't keep them for too long due to my time restraints with work and other things. Now I am getting back into Coleonyx and it's been lots of fun. Right now, I have some C. mitratus but I really enjoy working with them. Anyway, I hope to see and share new ideas and photos with you all in the future.

Take it easy,
PH

Welcome. Are you going to be going for wild-caughts? I have 1.1 C.v. who are on track to produce at least 20 babies this season (so far 16 and counting).

Thanks. I will mostly be looking for locality animals for the U.S. Coleonyx whether they are WC or CB doesn't matter. I am a big fan of localities. Are yours locality? If so, I would definitely be interested in some.

Mine are CB. The female is a C.v.b. The male is a C.v.v. and is white and beige instead of yellow and beige. I was told that white Coleonyx v. are from a particular locale and I can probably retrieve that info if I work on it. The female was produced in my home in 2010. I'd be happy to ship some to you but I'm all the way on the east coast so shipping is going to be expensive. You could also check with Goldengategeckos.com (also a forum member) because she breeds C.v.b. as well.

Thanks Aliza. I know of a population that tends to be a light/pale version of the C.v.variegatus. Most in the area that I have seen are more faded out but some are spectacularly white in color. And "sadly", I didn't even think about collecting them :) Thanks for the GoldenGeckos link. I remember checking their site before.

On a side note, does anyone know why I can't include images in my post and have to put them in as attachments?

Thanks for the welcome Elizabeth. I dig all geckos, especially Eublepharids and Phelsuma. Really fun to be working with them. I checked the incubation box after work earlier today and my second ever C.A. banded gecko just hatched out. I'm herp-nerdily excited about it!

You are very welcome. Congratulations on your new hatchling! That's one cute little "buzzard"! Glad that you are stoked.

A couple months back I just received a species new to me: Cyrtodactylus peguensis zebraicus, 8 and 10 mo now. Can't wait till they are 2 yo so that I can pair them. The male chirps.
