Soil Safety

I am interested in planting a natural viv with as you guessed it live plants. But i have no idea what soil to buy or what to mix it with i have an idea of how to set it up but i have no idea what soil i can use that will be safe for my crested gecko? please tell me what you used so i dont hurt her!

I use compost covered with leaf litter.
100% natural
if it is good enough for mother nature it is good enough to me

jptex, doesn't straight-up compost burn your plants? the few times I've ever tried straight compost as a medium to grow plants, the abundant nitrogen has fried the plants.
