Leopard Gecko: Baby babysitting questions

He is too thin and needs to eat.:( Have you tried other insects? Baby hornworms would be ideal at a time like this.

I figured if he had that horn like piece of shed, he may also have a layer covering the cornea. schedule the appointment, but continue squirting his eye until then.

I will look tomorrow morning for hornworms. I don't know that our pet store gets them small enough though. Would silkworm be good also. I might be able to get some of them small enough.

Have you been trying the wet gauze patch? Thing is with stuck shed on his eyes, he won't be able to see well to hunt. Do you still think BOTH eyes are impacted with shed?

Maybe the vet could remove the stuck shed issue(s) more quickly with far less stress?

Let's get some Fluker's Repta+Boost from your local Petco. Feed him only that since he's not eating lives. Be sure to keep him hydrated with moisture in his moist hide, water dish, maybe water droplets on his nose.

The one seems clear in his eyeball area. It just looked to have a wrinkle on the upper lid. The one that has the shed is looking clearer but I'm still going to have him looked at anyways. I'm not sure that it's gone, I'm trying not to get too much in his face anymore.
I have some and the oxbow carnivire care. Should I be giving him this now?
He's been well moisture since I got him. I give him water when I squirt his eyes.

I remember you said he was eating 1 or 2 crickets a day and now he refuses, so yes I am pretty sure you are stressing him out (sorry:biggrin:). He cannot afford too much stress in his body condition. I would not pull him out the enclosure, instead I would lean in, hold tissue under his eye and squirt. Removing them from the enclosure is the biggest stressor of all.

How sad, he must of been kept bone dry. You sure know how to get yourself into the worse situations. I just want to warn you that he may need to be sedated to avoid damage to the eye, if it has turned into a cap over the cornea.

I figured I was stressing him out so I stopped taking him out yesturday and today. I'm pretty good at getting into messes. Is sedition harmful to them. I thought I read that it was but I'm not sure.

What are the chances that he has some sort of parasite or infection? That's my first thought after everything we've gone through with the others.

There various methods of sedation. I had a few of my rescues sedated and they were fine. At this point it may not be necessary, just discuss it with the vet.

In regards to parasites and infection, you never mentioned any symptoms? I think you mentioned his stool was normal once.

It's just what I first jumped to when I saw he was thin. With the other two that's just what I'm afraid of is all. This morning he had a poo and it had cricket parts in it (not identifiable parts though) but it also resembled the liquid food.

That being said, Neither cherish nor Sundrop had completly normal poops while on the liquid food. I'm wondering if the mixture should be adjusted. I've been doing it more watery for the extra hydration.

We're trying him on a little silkworm tonight. I'm hoping it's not too big. Unfortunately we've been told out pet store isn't going to carry silkworms anymore :(

What do you think about Samantha using Oxbow or Repta+Boost at this point?

I'm pretty sure this means she is giving it to him already.
