Crocodile gecko rescue

So this fellow was attacked by who knows what but required sutures on the upper right side of the head and torso.

Previous owner decided not to pay and surrendered it to my vet.

I end up getting a call from a friend who also uses this vet asking if I would take it in as a rescue. Sure, why not.

Off throught the newly falling sleet I go to pick up my new charge.

So we shall see how it does, it's small and not exactly in the greatest shape. But seems lively enough to soldier through it.

With all the external damage I was a little concerned that internal injury may be a factor I'd have to deal with.

This morning we are blessed with a well formed poo.

So far it seems like we have a very fortunate little guy here.

(S)he is trucking around quite well, so functionality of all its limbs seems unimpaired though a few toes seem less than complete.

It's eyesight also appears to be good, with the location of the head injury I was mildly wondering if there was going to be an issue with that eye. While I have yet to observe it eat, it does seem able to watch me grom both the left and right eyes.

We shall see about feeding today.
