So my leopard gecko's tail Has been getting smaller and smaller so I started feeding him meal worms every couple days. But for a couple days now he has been opening his mouth making this smacking now and today he started violently shaking his head. Now whenever I try to feed him he shakes his head or opens his mouth. His tail is getting smaller and I tried waxworms but he turned those away, I can't do crickets because he's blind in one eye. He did have skin stuck on his mouth after shedding and he's been pretty stressed since we're moving a lot.

Any ideas on what I should do?

1) You need a minimum three hides. You need a hot dry hide, a warm humid hide, and a cool dry hide. Always. Since you have a 20 long, I very strongly suggest you get 3 dry hides plus 1 humid hide. Put dry hides on each end and one in the middle.
2) It's way too cold. Temps need to be 88-93, and you need to know what they are. Get an under tank heater and put it under the hot hide. Attach it to a thermostat: Amazon.com: Hydrofarm MTPRTC Digital Thermostat For Heat Mats: Patio, Lawn & Garden Then set it at 90. Your gecko won't eat because it's too cold. Their digestion relies entirely on temperatures, and if they're cold, they can't digest their food.
3) Nighttime temps need to stay above 80 on the warm side. Get a ceramic heat emitter to use with the UTH if you have to.
4) You need to know what you're supplementing with. You can't just give your gecko whatever and hope it's got what it needs. Purchase pure calcium (no D3) and either Zoo Med's Reptivite WITH vitamin D3 or Repashy Calcium Plus, then follow the instructions given on the bottles.
5) It sounds like your gecko's eye is infected. It needs to see a good reptile vet immediately. All of this changes need made if you want your gecko to become healthy, but you can't treat an infection at home.

I dont see where you list how you heat his enclosure.
He needs 3 hides, one on the warm side, a moist hide, and a hide on the cool side. He is having problems shedding because there is no moist hide.
you need to monitor temperatures with a thermometer, if he gets too cold or too hot it will effect his eating habits

Can you take a picture of your enclosure / gecko

Thank you so much! I'll make sure to get him more hides and keep it warmer. Also here's the picture I forgot to add.

Oh dear. He's very skinny. He really needs to see a vet.

Okay that would probably be for the best since his hiccup thing has gotten more frequent. His cage is warmer but he still won't eat and last night when I held him he wouldn't stop coughing or hiccuping or whatever it is.

That sounds like a respiratory infection, which could be the result of its enclosure being too cold. He definitely needs to see a vet immediately.

What's heating wire?

So apparently it's not that bad at all, he just was freaking out over some skin that I missed on his lip. They're still going to test for parasites but all I need to do is get it off and he should be fine. But I think adding some heat and a cave would be nice for him too.
