Porcelain tiles coming soon. Done with slate because of calcium adherence.

ceramic tile is great! the calcium does not adhere to it, and it does not need to be glazed, easy to clean also its pretty and conducts heat well! I paid $26 for the tiles for both cages, not bad!

also, my bulbs burned out again. both of them within a few days of each other! I buy them once a month it seems. but guess what, its warm enough this month that I no longer have to use any heat lamps. :)
but, when it gets cold again, Im going to invest/purchase TWO che's.

Did you ever get that socket checked out?

It is really important for leos Rex and Xena to have belly heat and warm air above throughout the year :). Even though temperatures are warming up outside in the USA, do the room temperatures where your leo habitats sit vary that much from day to day?

Your UTHs as well as overhead heating could be best for your leos year round. During the NJ summers you could get by, but check the air temps first before pulling the plugs .

Have you AC?

My landlord has it on his list of things to do, he kind of drags his feet on things- so I am always at his mercy, I dont intend to stay here long however-I plan on moving when my lease is up!
Their belly heat is at 95, the air is at 85-87 or so it goes down to low 80's at night. Ill probably end up buying more bulbs- ugh - it gets frustrating replacing them every month!

Moving sounds like a good thing when your lease is up, Xo. Might want to lower their belly heat a couple degrees. OK if the warm air is a bit cooler than 85 F. Anything about 70ish is fine for night temps.
