Heat mat, lights or both HELP

okay so i'm getting my second Leo after a bad start as a little kid and i'm hoping this will be a less tragic time!

so my Q is can i use just a heating mat, or just a light rack (day and night)
and if so whats the best temp and schedule for my new Leo

any answers will be great im just starting out and ill need support

:)

Hi,

You definitely need a heat mat. Without belly heat, they can't digest thier food properly. Heat mats can sometimes struggle to raise the air temperature, so a heat bulb may be needed too.

Please post all your questions in one thread and not begin a new thread with every question. That really helps us not repeating ourselves. Just makes communication more effective.

It is best to use both a heat mat to provide belly heat and the overhead dome to increase ambient air temperatures.
