Shipping Geckos

Is it healthy to ship Leo's? I have seen unboxing videos, and the geckos are stunning, and I cannot find them in retile stores or local breeders.. I am against ordering online because I do not feel that shipping geckos is safe or okay for the animal. I was just wondering what other thoughts were on this matter? Let me know please :D

When I hear about all the geckos that have travelled overseas in a bunch of bananas or flowers, I figure that boxing them in a deli cup with a styrofoam lining, heat pad (when necessary) and cushioning material next day air would be OK for them. I've both shipped and received and been pleased with the health and resilience of the geckos both coming and going.

Shipping live reptiles can seem daunting if you have never done it, but it is actually a safe and responsible process when done correctly.

There are temperature and packaging considerations and guidelines to consider, and we cover all of them at our site ShipYourReptiles.

If I am looking for a new reptile, I wouldn't limit myself to what was locally available. I would search out the best animals from the best possible breeders across the country, and have them shipped to me. Including geckos : )

Best of luck!
