Egg leaked from a pinhole in the egg, now it has mold--is it doomed?

Does anyone have any cool stories about the impossible egg that hatched?--I'd love to hear it. I have an egg , that my Giant Mack Snow female laid in her dry box. She laid the egg(she lays 1 at a time) and it had a hole in it-it leaked for about 1 week tiny amounts, I wiped it off but it did not help, now the egg has mold, I have it in vermiculite but sitting off of it on a dry plastic lid inside the vermiculite container. It is very fertile, red veins all throughout-it is 2 weeks old. The mold does not wipe off, the leaking stopped though.

I've had a dry egg that was laid in the cool hide hatch. The egg never plumped, it stayed rock hard, and felt dry. I thought for sure it was gone, especially when it started to mold on both ends of the egg. But out of principle, the whole incubate until there's no debate, I kept incubating it. One day a beautiful hatchling came out of it.

So you just never know. Until the egg deflates or smells rotten, keep incubating it.

Sadly I do not have such stories, all mine that have looked odd have eventually died, I had a very unusual case of an egg that was incubating for about 80 days, looking good, but 80 days!! (85 degrees), finally I STUPIDLY cracked it open and there was a tiny tiny pink gecko in there, it didn´t look alive, but didn´t look all that bad, however, it incubated for too long, and the lil guy was maybe about 1 inch long, and completely pink, I don´t think it was going to make it, but... you never know

We need to hear these upbeat stories as it is easy to give up on some of the wrinkled, moldy eggs. Thanks Mardy!
