Leopard Gecko Habitat

Hello!
I got my first leopard gecko today, and I was just wandering what else I could add to his tank so he'll feel more comfortable. Here is a picture of his current tank set up below. I have him in a 20 gallon tank. I would like to add more to his tank, but I don't want it cluttered. Any simple ideas?? Can I use anything from outside, like rocks etc. :) sorry if the photo is so blurry..

well, leos need three hides (warm, humid, cool). that'd be a good place to start. also, sand can impact and kill leopard geckos, so I'd suggest going with slate tile instead. ;-)

1) ditch the sand. Sand can be extremely dangerous and it is eaten while your gecko is eatin their insects. Switch to tile or paper towel.
2) Add more hides. You need 3, a warm hide, a moist hide and a cool hide.

I recommend checking out the care sheet here and comparing it to your tank/care. This will insure your geckos going to thrive and live a happy healthy life.

Welcome to Geckos Unlimited :)

Not going to repeat what's been said above but I certainly second the advice ;)

Are you using a heat mat controlled by a thermostat?

I'm not seeing any thermometers or anything like that. Temperatures are very important and should be taken with a good quality digital thermometer. One with a probe should be used for surface temperatures.

The Care Sheet is a good place to look for further information and recommendations :)
