Which worm to order?

I'm currently looking online to buy some worms for my girl, and is as wondering which I should get? Hornworms silkworms or Phoenix worms? As you all know fatty can be picky and weird about her food so I want something she will like and I can keep fairly easily. Also, if you know of any decently priced websites, preferable west coast or California locations, please do share. :) Thanks!

http://www.mulberryfarms.com/ have worked well for me, they're in Cali, they ship fairly fast, and have a great selection. Their prices are fair, sometimes you could find better elsewhere, but you'd then need to order batches of different feeders from different sites (and thus pay more shipping cost).

As for what to get, it really depends on what your gecko will eat. Silkworms & Phoenix worms are a hit & miss for my geckos, half of them didn't like them, half did.

I really like hornworms Merrisa :D I think they look like gummy worms which is just awesome ;) Usually they're a huge hit with geckos, might try those?

Thank you both! I had another idea, I plan on going to the Sacramento reptile expo, do they usually sell feeders at expos? I could get some to try before I order a whole batch.

Ah I wish. I think two is enough until I do a mass cleaning of my house. No room for a third as of now or I'd already have one. Next will probably be a sunglow or Mack snow albino. ;)
Going to go to find new feeders and a scale. Possibly a bigger tank for the baby gecko.

I love the Tremper Mack Snows! Super gorgeous! :D

When I got my second Leo it was either between that one or the Tremper Jungle I got. Tremper Mack Snow was a bit more pricy than the one I got so I'll have to wait ;)

My first was just a basic which turned out a high yellow and then the newbie we got a few months back is a high yellow jungle bandit which my boyfriend picked out. So I get pick of the next, and I want something stunning!

Didn't you say your b/f breeds? What does he breed?

Oh no. I think you are mistaken. My boyfriend doesn't, we just got him his own. He wants to breed eventually on a very small scale. Years down the road, when we have more room and money and knowledge.

I agree. :) I've always been fascinated with the albinos and sunglows. I also love what you are producing, I just checked your site. I will keep you in mind for the future.

As for hornworms, which I'm hoping to find, I hear they grow fast. Are these like mealworms in which you can put in the fridge to slow them down?

Agreed on sunglows, one of my favorite morphs :) I should have some good looking sunglows later this year, or early next.

As for hornworms, yes they can be refrigerated to slow down their growth. Usually you put them in the fridge for a couple of days, then take them out for a day to feed, then rinse & repeat.

I will have to stay posted :)

Okay, great. Don't want them to get too big. My girl won't eat super worms I think it's because of their size. I gave her one and she freaked out like it scared her.

Try hornworms. Phoenix worms are VERY small (~3/4 inch). "Think" Phoenix worms are the same as the calci-worms sold at Petco. Silkworms are harder than hornworms to keep alive :-(, but more nutritious maybe? My leo did not go much for butterworms.

Thank you for that. I will try getting whatever I can find then see what she likes. Hopefully she likes something! She's so picky and weird abou eating its frustrating. Then there's the other gecko that is a beast at eating. Then again it is still young.

Ill have you know they are delicious ;) Lol no, that's just the first thing my mom asked me when she saw the worms; "Didn't know the pet-store sells gummy worms?" It's sort of just stuck :D
