Leopard Gecko tank size?

HI there !! , so I've decided it's time to upgrade my little leo's terrarium size so what I'd to ask if a Exo-Terra 45x45x45cm will do for maybe the rest if her life would that work? or there's another one that's 60x30x45 would that be alright for maybe the rest of her life? or maybe bigger? And one other thing do leo's really need a hide on the cool side cause my lil' girl rarely goes into her cool side hide from what I can tell. So um yea :lol:

neither of those tank sizes are big enough to house a leo for life. you want at least a 20 gallon long tank, which is 30x12x12 inches.

yes leos need a hide on the cool side.

The recommendation I have is 4x the total length of a mature leo. Average sized mature leos tend to be 9 inches total length and 70ish grams. If, however, your leo has giant genes he/she will be considerably larger.

Wooden enclosures are more common in the UK where you live. They do a better job holding in heat and humidity. Perhaps you could find a nice one?

I know that Exo Terra builds a 36 x 18 x 12 inch high tank. That's 90 x 45 x 30 cm (last I checked).

You might build one or find someone with those skills?

Wooden enclosures can be attractive! They also offer increased security for a lizard.

One downside to wooden cages is the placement of the Under Tank Heater. In the case of wooden cages, the UTH would go inside the enclosure. So you would need to find a way to protect your leopard gecko from directly resting upon it.

umm I have thought about building a wooden enclosure but luckily I've actually found an exo-terra terrarium that's 90x60x45cm for a good price and deal too
