What is a good type of scale to get?

I know I should keep track of my geckos weight. I was wondering what type would be good for that?

You don't need anything too fancy. Your best bet is to look for a food scale that can measure in grams. I paid 10$ for mine on Amazon and it's accurate and goes up to 3 pounds which is plenty.

I chose one that measures 0,1 grame, I believe it is accurate enough, if you are only going to use it for geckos, you don´t need it to be that big, mine goes from 0.1 to 650 grames and it costed like 7$ on amazon

That's true. I needed one that was a little bigger because my wife makes jewelry and she uses it to weigh her packages.

I have some friends that also choose to go a little bigger because they weigh otrer animals as well (snakes, bigger lizards...), in my case, since it is only for geckos it was more than enough

It is up to 7 KG. It's actually nice. I can place a bowl on it and it will zero the scale to just weigh what is in the bowl. These baby geckos don't know how to sit and stay yet

Yes, I believe most of them do that, (well, mine does), the important thing is that it weighs accurately, with a minimal error margin, hopefully of less than a grame, since baby leopards can weith as little as 2-3 grames, it is important that the error margin is slight

Most of the companies are now offering food scale with accuracy up to three division and more. Why not you try them if you want to get an accurate result and these scales are also available in really cheap rates.

Any food scale that have accuracy up to one division is enough for weighting gecko. And these scale are also available in few dollars. I bought a food scale on amazon in $10 only.

I used ones in the labs that weighed to 8 decimals. Only good to one gram. could weigh my fingerprint lol.

Any kind of scale which could measure in grams is best to weigh on. I personally use portion control scale initially bought for my kitchen and later on there was need of it in my kitchen then i started using it to weigh my Gecko on it.
I think it is a better idea to use existing scale as this weighing do not need too much specification. So any kind scale may be used.
