I am very thankful I found this forum! I have had many questions that were answered by great knowledgeable people!! I am so appreciative of all the help!
Now that our little guy Rocky is adjusting nicely to his new home I thought I would introduce him







He is not looking as yellow as he was when we first got him...could he be about to shed?

Congrats, all the little bits off the toes and tail too? Mine got bits stuck on his toes the first time, but since then - nothing.

Was Rocky's shed totally complete---all on his own---even off all 10 toes?

It looks like a perfect shed! Off all toes! He even left some skin on the tiles for my son to see. Which I thought he would eat all of....

This may be a weird question but what should their poop and urates look like and should it smell like urine?

The feces should be well-formed, not mushy. Not really a urine smell, has a poopish odor. Healthy urates are always white. Urates should be 1/3 to 1/2 the amount of the feces.

Ok that sounds right. It just had a pungent smell last night that's why I ask. I guess I didn't think about an odor....

Fresh poop is smellier, you were obviously quite quick to spot it. The smell goes as the poop dries.

Rocky has great looks! Love the yellows and blacks. Sounds as if he has multiple keepers. :banana:

Hi,

Your son is over 5 yrs. old correct? Just make sure your Andrew washes his hands thoroughly before and after coming in contact with the enclosure or leo.

Yes he is over 5. We both wash our hands after holding and feeding Rocky
