Pink thing came out of my baby leopard geckos butt?

This was the first time I seen my leopard gecko poop and while he was a pink thing came out, and when he was done it went back in. Is this normal? This is my first gecko so I am not sure

If it came out and went back in, it's probably just the inside of the vent that you see when he's pooping. Probably nothing to worry about.

Was this "pink thing" longish and narrow? Perhaps you witnessed a brief hemipenile prolapse?

What substrate do you use in his enclosure?

I use tile and papertowels, but I'm thinking maybe it's because I feed him mealworms? I bought some crickets today, so maybe that wwill help

It wasnt that long but it kind of looked like the tip of a straw, it stayed out until he started walking again and it went back in

I agree with Elizabeth. I wouldn't worry if it went back in and the leo was fine afterwards.
