I'm building a large vivarium for a group of leopard geckos (24'' tall, 48" wide, 16" deep) roughly 90 gallons, and wanted some advice making it look and feel as natural as possible. Here is some of the stuff I wanted to include/going to use.
Live plants: succelents and cacti, nothing poisonous or that will harm the leos.
For a substrate I was going to use half soil half play sand (after being sifted of large peices) one corner I was going to use excavator clay to play a large hide that would fit multiple leos, will make it reinforced.
Using a heat cord for half the tank . Moist hide on the warm end, going to use a bowl for mealworms. I'm probably missing something, advice please.

You might as well put something a lot larger in a vivarium that big! I mean come on, were talking about leopard geckos here.. The biggest i'd ever go or really anyone, is a 40 breeder. Even for giants/ super giants they only need a 40 or anything 36 inches. other than that, they're relatively small reptiles compared to most. Than yeah, what elizabeth said, they dont really prefer living with others unless both females and have been with each other since day one. its just an unfortunate risk to have geckos fighting and being severely injured..
