A sign that the egg will hatch??

Folks,

So I have been incubating this egg for 54 days now and over the last week or so the top has being collapsing in. The humidity is still at 84% and has been there the whole time. I have read that this would occur a few days before hatching but this has been getting worse for the last 7 days.

Is this normal or could this be the death of this egg after 54 days??

It doesn't look so good, but I have had healthy geckos hatch out of eggs that look like that, so keep it in the incubator and see what happens.

Thanks Aliza

Just annoying to know that after 54 days of the egg growing and looking good to find out that it might be no good. I guess this is the way things go...........

Hopefully i will get a good outcome with this one seeing that this would be my first hatchling ever!!

My very first eggs looked great for about 72 days and when they started looking bad and I opened them, there was nothing there. Hopefully that won't happen to you.

Congrats! Looks like a really nice partial reverse stripe. Those funky looking eggs are definitely worth keeping around.
