Light bulb for night viewing?

It's starting to get hotter where I live (high 70's, low 80's) and my 75 watt exo terra moonlight bulb I use for viewing my gecko at night makes the air temps too hot (90 and above degrees) how low of wattage should I go just for viewing my gecko at night, but also keeping the air temps above 80°F?

To be honest, I just turn on the room lights and it's fine. The geckos don't seem to mind.

Hello!

For keeping him warm a Ceramatic Heat Emitting bulb will be better, these bulbs produce heat and no light. A thermostat is recommended with these.

Remember your tank needs to be the correct dimensions before adding lights to the tank, so not to burn or stress your Leo .

Its just for night viewing. And the moonlight bulbs produce enough heat for air temps, it's just mine produces too much for how warm it is getting weather wise where I live.

You could try a dimmer or you might have to just experiment with some different wattage.

Thanks for the advice guys. I ended up getting the 25 watt one. If that doesn't work I'll try to get a dimmer.
