Calcium and growth

I've always been careful with giving Donut the right amount of calcium (with D3 once a week and calciworms as dinner once a week) but today I saw him bending his foot in a very strange way when he was sitting around after eating. He was kind of bending it backwards, resting on his wrist. Once he got up again, he moved around normally. Should I be concerned, or is it just one of those weird ways they sometimes place their legs?

I'm getting some reptivite this week that I'll start using, but will calciworms be sufficient for his "non D3-day"?

Another thing that I've noticed is that the digits on his back legs seem so long right now. He's probably going to shed within the week, so is it going to even out with his growth? I've noticed before how he tends to look a little bloated and off just before shedding since his skin gets so tight, but I've never noticed anything on his feet

You should DEFINITELY be concerned if Donut is bending his leg oddly as he walks.

How about posting a video of Donut walking? Depending upon the diet your feed the bugs and worms, a once a week dusting with a D3 containing calcium might not be enough vitamin D3.

"Sufficient" vitamin D3 is necessary in order to prevent metabolic bone disease.

He's gonna come out for handling tomorrow, so I'll get a video then :3

He's been eating mostly mealworms for a while because he's a lazy butt but I'm going to get locusts for him, dusting doesn't stick very well to mealworms (and y'know, locusts are better for him anyway so)

Here's the video of him walking around, though a little tentatively LINK

I think he's fine but we're definitely going to be extra careful with the calcium from now on because he tends to go up to the dusted food, lick it and be like "naahh" and then wait until most the dust is off before he eats. He's kind of a little butt

Maybe...maybe he's struggling a little bit? How about a video of him walking in his tank? a longer video?

Are you getting Reptivite with or without D3?

What do you feed his mealworms?

I'll see if I can get a video of him walking in his tank tonight.

I got Reptivite without D3. I also finally got some non D3-calcium to keep in his tank.

His mealworms are fed bug grub and fresh veggies.

TBH he looks fine really! He's been out for some exercise today and he ran around without problems. I also (FINALLY) got some non-D3 calcium and he was happily licking it up earlier today :3 Along with Eclair, he's a little upset about the tank-change so he's not eating a lot but all temps and everything are good so he'll probably eat normally again in a few days :)

Unrelated: he shed yesterday and looks SO pretty! He's getting more and more beautiful (and bigger) with every shed, not to mention that he's getting more and more bright orange on the base of his tail as well! He must have carrottail somewhere in his family, about 1/3 of his tail is really orange!
