How do i know?

I have 2 leos, and I take them out for exercise daily. My oldest leo doesn't mind being picked up, and actually seems to enjoy it. My youngest leo is a little different. When I try to pick up my youngest baby, he/she squirms and sometimes chirps. Is this fear, being uncomfortable, aggression, or just antsy because he/she is still young?

Young leopard geckos are programmed (for the most part, there are exceptions) to stay undercover so they can grow up to become old leopard geckos. Some of them calm down as they mature. There are also some leos who just never like to be handled.
