cricket punched my gecko in the eye

does this happen often? I put 5 crickets into her cage and a medium sized one snuck in but still looked small enough to eat. I dusted them. This one had oddly long antenna's well when she went to eat it, it like hit her in the eye, went straight at her. She gave up and walked away form it and wouldn't even try to eat a tiny one. I offered a mealworm after and she ignored that too. So I let her go to sleep. I feel bad, I sure hope it didn't bite her eye. She's 4 months old.

Glad your gecko is fine!! Nasty cricket.... Deserves to be eaten!!! I put mine in the fridge to slow down their metabolism, then put the feed dish in the vivarium, and add the crickets one by one.. I do this when the o overhead light is off, as mine are nocturnal. This gets my spinys' ready and watching, and they are attracted by the movement of the crickets slowly waking up. They are ready n waiting for the crickets to climb out of the food dish....
