I used to have the time and money to buy all sorts of critters for my LG. As of late I need to get it to simply eat mealworms out of a dish. I bought a lees mealworm dish and have put in a good 8 giant mealworms and it completely ignores it. It has walked up to it, done the "head turn" and walked off.
My feeding technique in the past was to throw a dubia, giant mealworm, cricket, etc in front of it and let it get it quick. It generally only eats two prey items per sitting. Its about 25 grams last I weighed it and just shed ( wild type ). It is in good health and a wonderful LG.
Will it eventually get hungry enough to eat out of the dish? Am I doomed to more time consuming feeding techniques? I know you cant just throw 3 mealworms in a dish and hope for the best, its just not enough movement. I do have a relatively full dish though.
