How up to date is this sight?

I see lots of info about the different Morphs, a list of breeders and even shows but everything other than the Morphs looks to be old info. The Morphs might be also I'm not up on all the new stuff.

Is there another place to get a more up to date set of info out there?

This is probably the most active sight for info like this. There might be other sights out there with up to date info but this sight has the most traffic by far

I was mostly looking for information to better understand the differ morphs. There are a lot of different morphs out there and the reptile calculator is very helpful.

I agree this site does seem to be the most traffic, but it would be really nice to have a list of breeders that stayed updated so new people could know who is still breeding.

Is there a specific morph you need help with? I specialize in tangerine and hypos and morphs of that nature.

Nothing specific. I was trying to work out some good pairing but I have decided to breed Diablo Blanco and Temper albino with blizzard and eclipse het next year. Not going to push it this year I'm in no hurry.

Im working on a line breeding project. I'm going to breed blizzards. I'm going yo select the two darkest out of the litter and breed them. I'm going to repeat that process till eventually a few years later I might end up with a new black gecko morph

Sounds like a nice project. If you have the room and money breeding two lines so you can cross them back and forth would allow you to keep the line stable for longer.

Wouldn't take much just get 2 males and 4 females so you have two groups of 1M/2F in each and every 3 or 4 generations cross the babies of the two groups. If you could do more groups it would make the line more stable for sure but harder keep that darker colors.

Thinking it through makes me glad I'm not doing line breeding. I

I did some line breeding with fish for a while and it isn't hard just have to make sure you keep the groups separate until you want to cross them. From what I have learned it's not a lot different to line breed reptiles the basic process of keeping the lines stable is the same, I have thought about line breeding my bearded dragons but I don't know yet.

I sent a link to this thread to the leopardgeckowiki owner so we'll see what happens.

As far as breeding for dark blizzards, it should be interesting because a lot of blizzards change color and so can be dark some of the time and lighter at other times.
