When to adjust feeding amounts

Hello friends!

I've had Sal for a while now, and she's about five inches long. I read that juveniles eat every day, young adults every other day, and adults about 3 times a week. I was just wondering when I should start cutting down her food. Right now she eats ten mealworms a day, occasionally with an extra waxworm. I'm planning on moving to fifteen every other day, and then as she gets older, twenty every three days. I just don't know when to start making the switch, since I don't know how old she is. I'm assuming from her size that she's about three months old, born around Halloween, but I'm not at all certain of that.

TL;DR, when do I eliminate one of her feedings?

If you wanted a cut forward easy method, I would wait till she is an adult, about 1 year old, to switch to monday, wednesday, saturday. A better method is to get a scale and weigh her and observe her weight and size. Look up obese geckos on google, and keep her weight in good manner. I would keep feeding daily until she is a year old, then adjusting according to weight and body shape. There isnt a set amount because every gecko is different.

A good weight for a leo is about 60 grams before switching to less frequent feedings. If your leo has giant genes, I'd wait until she is 6 months old. Leos continue to grow until they are about 18 months old.

As kholtme mentions, it really depends upon your leo's body structure.

Mealworms are kinda fatty. How about adding well fed crickets or dubia to her diet right now?
