Abnormally large thighs? Odd croaking noises?

Hello y'all! It's been awhile since I've posted here. You may have seen another thread of mine for a gecko named Oreo, and I'm glad to say the growth on his chest is gone for good. Very healthy and happy now! :)

However, we have an issue with another gecko this time. Her name is Spotty, and she's the first gecko we ever got...I'd estimate around 5 years old. Such a sweetie!

A little less then a year ago we moved her cage downstairs so could take care of her better, as the food and other supplies were down in the basement for my other 3 geckos. My brother had not been treating her well, and she was getting way too skinny for my liking...so yeah.

She's at a good weight now, maybe could gain a little, but something's been concerning me quite a bit.

Around 6 months ago, I noticed her thighs were incredibly swollen. She also began making croaking noises whenever we disturbed her or picked her up. It's a deep sound, and sometimes lasts up to 30 seconds. She doesn't seem bothered when we pick her up though, she's always been really tame.

Recently she's been pooping wherever she sees fit as well, and seems to have slight trouble walking with those back legs. We had her in a bath because she's never really been able to get she'd off of her toes correctly.

Anybody know what might be wrong?:?IMAG0022.jpg

I'm not a vet, but it almost looks as if there's fluid in the thighs. This is the kind of issue that would lead me to take the gecko to a reptile vet. If you need help finding one, check out arav.org.

Hi Spotty ~

It's good to hear from your human mom! I hope she'll find out what's up with your back thighs. It sounds like a visit to Oreo's vet is in order.

I'd also like to know. :)

I think we may just set up an appointment for her here. Such a good little girl, she's what inspired me to get more geckos of my own!
