I am planning to go to a reptile expo in Seattle on may 13th, I was wondering if they usually sell day geckos at expos and for how much? Also what spicies do they usually sell?

It all depends on who's vending at your expo and how they came to get the day geckos they're selling. It makes a difference in terms of whether the vendor is just "flipping" a day gecko s/he got in trade, for example, or whether the vendor breeds them. Ideally the expo you're planning to attend has a webpage where you can see a vendor list and find out who is selling what.

I'm on the other side of the country and don't know any of those vendors. Maybe people from the west coast can comment on what vendors are selling. Otherwise, you'll have to look at all those Facebook pages and see who's selling gold dusts. Let us know what you come up with.

Mostly Crested Geckos and Ball Pythons from the breeders I checked out on the page--and I checked out all of them with a link. I did inquire about whether one of the breeders sells P. Laticauda, but not sure when s/he'll get back to me....

I know that BP morphs and Cresties are the popular and big money makers at those shows (along with poison dart frogs, it seems), but I wish more breeders would offer more varieties of critters for sale. Since I don't buy BPs or Cresties (I like black milk snakes, aberrant pattern california kingsnakes, and rainbow boas), it isn't really worth the entrance fee for me to visit these reptile expos anymore.

I know it's on the high side with the shipping, but you could consider getting one from a breeder and having it shipped to you. You'd have to google "gold dust day geckos for sale" and then check out the seller on the board of inquiry at faunaclassifieds.com to make sure they're reputable.

If you end up getting a day gecko at an expo, be prepared to spend between $50-150. The norm for a grandis is usually between $75-85 but I have seen some for as much as $200 being sold at expos.
